Tomastepeque, Pico de Palencia

Foto cortesía de fotosdeguatemala.com Palencia, 29 kilometers from the capital city, has a frequent visitor attraction is the Pico de Palencia.

With a height of 2.150 meters, it's great to start on hills to mountains and volcanoes.

Full of vegetation

Because the moisture of the place. Features a visible rock but it prevents moisture is an ideal place for climbing.

Its cool climate makes it one of my favorite places to train or go in hot weather.

The climb begins on a path that leads to the steps that the inhabitants of the communities placed for easy access to visitors.

Following these steps will be entered into a forest full of roads leading to the summit. Most lines are longer tours, but they are more rested.

Tomastepeque, Pico de Palencia
To get there take the highway to the Atlantic and across to the right. The signs are pretty obvious making it extremely hard to go wrong.

Then, on reaching the village, ask any of the premises and will indicate the movement forward.

The journey is full of vegetation and vegetable plantations. Peak will easy to see that as one approaches, look different and bigger.

Worth visiting the site for its climate and the training offered by the rise, but more pressing is the view you have from above.

Once on top, you can see very well the surrounding terrain and gaps in the region.

If you are patient and waiting for the evening, contemplate a landscape and colors not often seen. It is advisable to wear for the scene camera is awesome.

Keep in mind that if you wait until late afternoon, the decline represents a bit of difficulty as the visibility decreases, especially when entering the forest.
