Panoramic view from Culma Volcano

Whether you start the ascent to the volcano Culma considers as a good option. It is located only 100 meters from the carreteraque carried Jutiapa (Carretera al Salvador) to about 2 hours and a half away from Guatemala City.
Panoramic view picture by Mario Santos.
It is an extinct volcano, no type of activity and offers a beautiful view from its summit. The amount in zigzag paths in some places discovered and other bushes. The temperate climate of warm but very cool evening, ideal for watching the sunset.
To reach the top we recommend comfortable shoes, water, and if you wait for the evening do not forget to bring a lamp to illuminate your way down. Bring something to repair the road. For food not worry, there's a restaurant-tourist center at the entrance, a few meters from the volcano.
Reaching the top takes less than 40 minutes at a slow pace and making stops. Now if you love the mountain and climb volcanoes often, we assure the rise not take more than 20 minutes.
How to get to Culma

Though he is small, view from the top is fantastic.
From the city of Guatemala to El Salvador Road leads to the approximately 118 kilometer. You will pass Cuilapa (Santa Rosa), then to El Molino. If you arrive in El Progreso Jutiapa you have bypassed the entrance to Volcano Culma. Be patient and stay alert because being small, it can be confused with a hill.
Avoid climbing in shorts because the parts where the vegetation closes the road can be annoying when walking.
Schedule a visit around, passing through the center of Jutiapa, cool off in pools of tourist center (100 meters Culma actually is the entrance to the rise), or your return passes visiting the Slave Bridge -Puente Los Esclavos- in Santa Rosa.
