Fuego Volcano every end of the year

Volcano of Fire every year's end The Volcan de Fuego, Pacaya and Santiaguito are the three volcanoes of Guatemala who are active. Only the Pacaya is friendly enough to see him up close and closer to their rivers of lava, walk beside them or close to the edge of the crater. Fire and Santiaguito are another story.

We do not know why or explanations come to mind, but every year end of December to January (but more time in late December), the Fuego increases its activity. In some years there have been tremors, but always visible clouds or eruptions of magma.

For the ones who climb volcanoes every now and then this is nothing new, but a tradition, and therefore, the end of each year is crowned with a multitude of climbers ascending the volcano Acatenango to watch the show closely.

The volcano Acatenango and Fire are "brothers." They are united by a fork, it is speculated rightly share or shared channels magma. Either way is not to underestimate, not just a step away and there are volcanoes easier.

If you knew, I remember. And if this is new to you, we invite you to ascend to the Acatenango this year to see with astonishment tremendous pieces of red hot magma flying through the air.

No, nothing compares to see it with your own eyes, or TV, or DVD ... nothing. Even the most experienced is always a surprise to see how the volcano can throw rocks the size of a car hundreds of feet into the air.

Recommendations:

If you have good physical condition, up to the top of Acatenango, then straight into the volcano of Fuego find one or even two paths leading down to the fork and then ascend the volcano.

If you like adventure, you can upload the Acatenango until the end of the "Road" and you'll find two paths: the one who climbs to the top and one that goes on around the volcano. This around 50% of Acatenango to that height until reaching the fork end. It is a short tour and has two steps "interesting", one of them a little "technical" to go through some rocks, but the trail is beautiful and gives you a beautiful view of Fuego volcano just before you reach the fork.

Y. .. yes, get ready for the cold. The end of the year usually give us clear skies, but often cold nights.

Good luck in your journey.
