To start at the volcanoes is advisable to start with a low or medium difficulty, such as Ipala Volcano or Volcano Chicabal .

But if you can not go that far, Santa Rosa has a beautiful volcano with a great view: the Jumaytepeque

Access by car takes you close to the trails that ascend to the top. The locals are very friendly and is a safe route.

The roads that climb the volcano Jumaytepeque are often quite busy so do not miss it, well, a huge cross at the top will help you orient yourself.

Take the Road to Salvador, reaching Barberena. There you should consult the junction that leads to Jumaytepeque, there really is a very clear signal as to guarantee a few laps.

The road is paved until you reach the village at the foot of the volcano. It is a very attractive landscape.

The trip can be done in one day from the City of Guatemala and made the climb only takes half an hour to the top.
